Silver Sage Capital, LLC was founded in 2017 based upon a holistic philosophy of land stewardship that includes conserving ecologically important lands and creating sustainable economic growth through smart development. Silver Sage develops, invests in, and acts as project manager with like-minded real estate investors who have a shared vision for creating great projects that bring life to a community. Silver Sage has extensive experience in the lifecycle of multifamily, single-family, mixed-use, and self-storage development projects as well as conservation easements.

Shawn K. Smith
Shawn Smith is the Founder of Silver Sage Capital, LLC, a real estate impact company focused on conservation values coupled with the financing and investment in socially responsible real estate development.
Throughout his career, Shawn has managed multiple real estate investment funds with extensive experience in the investment, development, and construction of real estate projects. Actively developing single family lots, multifamily apartment communities, and build to rent assets, he has experience in multiple asset classes within real estate investment. Shawn specializes in financing, design, marketing and approvals of projects having worked in multiple jurisdictions across the mid-Atlantic, Texas, and eastern Idaho.
An avid angler and outdoorsman, Shawn can be found spending his free time exploring streams and duck marshes with his wife, Beverly, and daughters, Virginia and Harriet. In addition to family and work, Shawn currently serves as the Chair of the Board for the Jackson Hole Land Trust. He also serves on the Endowment Committee for St. John’s Episcopal Church in Jackson.
He achieved his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management in Evanston, IL and received a Bachelor of Arts from Brown University in Providence, RI.
